I moved to Los Angeles three years ago from San Francisco to take over as the air freight manager for Shipco Transport. Unsure what our future would hold for us my family packed our bags and moved down. Outside of the people that worked for Shipco I had no friends or family down here to hang out with, that was until the first Los Angeles Air Cargo Day held in 2016! I took the initiative and rented a booth, and it was probably one of the best decisions I have made since moving down here! I met so many people that day and I even won a pair of tickets on Air Canada! The events are great and I try to make as many of them as I can (we all know how hard it can be to get away from the desk sometimes!). To me the LAACA helps likeminded individuals, logistic professionals get together in an informal setting and discuss the industry if you choose or help forge meaningful relationships with people you email or talk to on the phone every day. I truly hope more and more people come out to the events, it only makes the experience that much better! Oh and hey the people running the LAACA aren’t so bad either ;)

The 5th Annual Dodger night was as much fun on the bus ride to the game as at the stadium. Our annual Air Cargo Day mini-trade show showcased many of our members’ services and saw record attendance. This new year promises to be even better. Booth registration is discounted to member companies. Our Social Mixers are planned on the months that we do not have a luncheon.
