Our annual events include not only our luncheons featuring diverse informed speakers from the trade industry but fun networking opportunities that make membership in LAACA so valuable. Ours distinctive speaker’s series draws record attendance, look for our email announcements for speakers in March, June and September. In May we host our annual Air Cargo Day trade show which showcases many of our members’ services. The 6th Annual Dodger night is in August, let's hope our Boys in Blue have another winning season, the bus ride to the stadium is almost as much fun as the game, so be sure to join us for this spirited hometown event. In September we will be hosting our 29th annual LAACA Golf outing, this event sells out quickly so remember to book early this year. We cap off 2019 with our much-anticipated Annual Holiday Luncheon, toasting in the holiday season while supporting an important charity, such as the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
Our featured speakers, lively social mixers, golfing event, and trade show all serve to bring members and friends together for topics that keep us informed, coupled with fun stimulating social events.

This year’s events included not only our quarterly luncheons featuring industry related speakers who are making a difference for Los Angeles Air Cargo, but fun networking mixer opportunities. Our 28th annual LAACA Golf outing was another sold out event. So remember to book early in 2019 for this years event. Peter Landon joined Transgroup Global Logistics in 2016 and is currently the Station Manager for the Los Angeles Region. Prior to Transgroup Peter was the Regional Manager and USA Sales Director for US Global. In his spare time he enjoys time with his family, reading, movies, travel, tennis, and is active in Amateur Radio communications.

David Joined Aeronet in 2004. In his current position, he oversees all aspects of International freight development for all 11 offices of Aeronet. Prior to that David was Director of International freight for Jardine Logistics developing the China/ USA trade lane. In his free time you can either hear David playing guitar in one of three classic rock bands appearing all over the South Bay or taking long drives and walks with his wife and two kids and their Labradoodle.

Jim joined the Weber Logistics team in April of 2015. Working primarily as the business development VP. Jim is responsible for production throughout the U.S. Weber is primary a Western regional company but through Jim's leadership growth remains positive in all parts of the country. Future growth includes the opening of operations in Salt Lake City, Seattle, Las Vegas. Weber presently has 11 U.S. offices with plans to expand within the next two years. With over thirty years of experience in the warehousing & transportation industry, a strong understanding and knowledge of the region and long-term strategic planning skills, Jim is well positioned at Weber Logistics. Jim attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He resides in El Segundo with his wife of 32 years Pegi and they have four adult children.

Andrea Lanouette joined Avalon in 2005 and currently serves as Regional Vice President. Ms. Lanouette is a licensed Property & Casualty Broker since 1990. Her technical knowledge and expertise includes underwriting and sales of U.S. Customs Bonds, Marin Insurance products and services, Property & Casualty including General Liability, Commercial Auto and Trucking, Workers Compensation Insurance, and Professional Liability Products. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys Pilates, her book club, movies and concerts, dinner with family and friends and spending time with her husband and son.

Scott Allman started his own Customs Brokerage business in October 2014. Prior to that, Scott has been in the Customs Broker and Freight Frowarding industry since 1989. He started as a messenger / data entry clerk for a border broker in Detriot, MI. Over the years he has been an Import Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Business Development Manager, and International Operations Manager. He has been fortunate enough to have traveled all over the world for business.

Yasmene has been in the industry since 2003 and transferred to Los Angeles from Wisconsin in 2012. She currently serves as National Business Development Manager for Tax-Air (a TSA approved trucking company), providing nationwide trucking and logistics solutions to Freight Forwarders across the U.S.

Amy Grat joined ITEP in 2010 and is responsible for ensuring ongoing sustainability of the organization and effective implementation of its mission, which is delivered through twenty staff and almost 400 voluteers from industry, education and the public sector. ITEP introduces high school students to diverse career opportunities in high wage, high growth industry sectors, with particular emphasis on careers in global trade, transportation and logistics. Previously, Amy served as Vice President of Investor Relations for the Los Angeles Couty Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), where she was responsible for driving revenue and cultivating the organization's relationships with Southern California business community. Amy has also held positions in higher education and nonprofit sectors. Amy holds an MBA from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business, an MA in International Affairs from The George Washington University, and a BA in English from San Diego State Univeristy.

Harvey joined Jones Lang LaSalle at the beginning of 2013 after 32 years as a Principal at local real estate brokerage firm, The Klabin Company. Specializing in agency, tenant representation and owner/investor sales for logistics facilities in the South Bay/Greater LAX Los Angeles industrial submarkets. Harvey is a board member for Concern Foundation, a non-profit that raises money for cancer research. Harvey has also maintain a vegan lifestyle for the past 12 years and in his spare time he enjoys walking his dog Brulee, spending time with his daughter Halle and son Adam and is an avid golfer who golfs any chance he gets.

Guilio Battaglini has enjoyed a multi-faceted career in logistics. From holding middle management to senior management leadership positions in some of the world's greatest airlines, United Airlines, Lufthansa, and Korean Air, to help Pacific Air Cargo start its cargo handling and passenger handling operations, it has never been a dull moment. Re-inventing himself in 2009, Giulio turned to the forwarding side and became both a Sales and Operations Vice President and Managing Director. In addition to growing the logistics division within TransPak, Giulio also helps with his family winery in Sonoma County.

Kim Pham has been in the Freight Forwarding service for over 20 years. She joined SST International, Inc. in August 2007 as the International Logistics Manager. Her duties include air and ocean import and export as well as brokerage services. She has the fun job of building relationships with airlines, ocean carriers, truckers, and customers on a day to day basis. Not only negotiating rates but she liaison for Homeland Security to include CTPAT and TSA. Prior to working at SST, Kim worked with Wilson Logistics Inc. & Phoenix International in the Air Export Department. Kim has 3 girls who keeps her very busy. Therefore, in her spare time she enjoys the finer things in life like eating and sleeping.

Katie Griley was born and raised in Orange County, and joined the family owned Griley Airfreight team in 2009 after graduating from ASU. She worked her way up from a dispatch role to now serving as VP of Sales and Operations. Katie oversees all the sales and is the leading decision maker for operations. She is very passionate and involved in the Air Cargo Community, following her father's legacy. In her spare time she enjoys boating, drinking mimosas, traveling, water skiing, and spending time with her boyfriend and family.

Brooke Roberts is the Cargo Sales Manager for Air New Zealand Cargo and a board member for the Los Angeles Air Cargo Association. She is originally from Atlanta, Georgia where she started her career in Air Cargo in 2011, and looking to expand her career, relocated to Los Angeles in 2013. Her current role at Air New Zealand is focused on selling a premium service offering for exports to New Zealand, Australia, and Europe. Away from air cargo, Brooke lives in the South Bay near the beach where she spends a lot of her free time. If she's not at the beach or riding her bike on the strand, you can find her traveling back and forth to Atlanta to spend time with her family or taking road trips to National Parks to hike.

Richard Schleicher started ACTS in 1997. He has operated a full complement of forwarding services for both air and ocean export and import. He has provided logistic consulting services for international project contractors and vendors. Richard started in the airline passenger services with Muse Air in 1981. He transferred to Air Cargo with Singapore Airlines in 1985. Richard become the LAX manager of Combined Transport Service, Inc. in 1987. He has lived in various countries around the worldand has traveled extensively. He continues to enjoy traveling with his wife and is a private pilot and enjoys flying his experimental aircraft around the USA in his pare time.

Stephanie Veracruz joined Jet Airways in 2010. She is extremely involved in many divisions of Jet Airways locally, as well as nationwide. Prior to joining the Client Relations and marketing team for Jet Airways, she worked in the accounting department for several years. Prior to Jet Airways Stephanie worked as a pre-school teacher, as well as a lead instructor for school aged child involved in teh before and after school programs offered through the Torrance Unified School District. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, running marathons, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Michael Yu joined Alaska Airlines in 2006. He currently serves as Regional Cargo Sales Manager for the greater Seattle area and all of California. Prior to that, Michael worked as a Project Manager, where he oversaw the design, development, and implementation of various system-wide projects, and as the Concourse Manager for the Seattle Station, where he was responsible for all aspects of the operation. Michael also previously worked in the pharmaceutical and financial industries. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Alex Adams joined Forward Air in 2010. He currently serves as Director of Sales, domiciled in Los Angeles market. Prior to his career at Delta, Jimmy held various senior management positions in the logistics industry in Beijing and Shanghai. in his spare time, he enjoys reading, musicals, traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.

Scott has been with LAWA since 1994, and spend most of his LAWA career managing environmental programs, including the noise management programs, the LAX sound insulation grant program, and the sustainability program. Since the summer of 2017, he is responsible for outreach efforts related to cargo and trade issues for LAWA. Scott is on the Board of the Los Angeles Regional Export Council Board (LARExC), which promotes and facilitates global trade and investment in the region. He is also a member of the 2018 World Trade Week (WTW) Committee, which dedicates itself to educating the public on the importance and benefits of global trade on the local and national economy through a series of educational programs and events, and hosts the largest WTW event in the US annually in May.

Los Angeles Air Cargo Association annual membership dues are $100 for Standard Membership or $250 for Corporate Membership per calendar year. Annual Membership drive starts in October for the coming new year. The association holds our general meeting/luncheon on the 2nd Thursday of the month in March, June, September and December. The regular cost for the luncheons is $45 for members: $55 for non-members. The Holiday luncheon charges will be announced prior to the luncheon.
